Program your Cisco IP Phone - This link works best with Internet Explorer. It may give you a security error, but proceed to the site to login. Once you have logged in you can program speed dial numbers that are unique to your phone. 

D91 Password Recomendations

Network Passwords expire every 180 days. A password should be at least eight characters in length and contains characters from at least three of the following categories:

  • English uppercase characters (A through Z)
  • English lowercase characters (a through z)
  • Base 10 digits (0 through 9)
  • Special characters (for example: !, $, #, %)

On a Mac remember that if the keychains contain your current password like in Outlook, to go into the account settings and reset the password there also.  

Blocked Email

spam filterDistrict 91 has an email filter that attempts to block spam and unwanted email. Ocassionally it blocks an email that it should not.

Look for mail that is being held in the spam filter. 

Enter your email address and network password. Once you are logged in look for the missing email. If you find the email put a check mark in the box labeled "Not Spam" and then click on the link that says "Execute Checked Actions" at the top of the screen.  The email should be delivered to your inbox in a short period of time

Protect Yourself From Fraudulent Email

  • Be suspicious of any email that requires "immediate action" or creates a sense of urgency.
  • Hover your mouse over the link. This will show you the true destination where you would go if you actually clicked on the link.
  • Just because you got an email from a friend does not mean they sent it. Your friend's computer may have been infected or their account may have been compromised, and malware is sending email to all of your friend's contacts.
  • Be suspicious of grammar or spelling mistakes: most business proofread their messages carefully before sending them.

If after reading an email you think is a phishing attack or scam, simply delete the email.

  • Microsoft Office 2013 for District 91 Employees

    office2013Office 2013 suite is for District 91 employees to use as long as they are employed by District 91.
    Note: Microsoft Office 2013 requires Windows 7 and 1 GB Ram.
    The Home Use Program entitles District employees to purchase a single license (Office 2013 Pro Plus for Windows or Office 2011 for Mac), to be installed on the employee's home computer.Employees must discontinue use of the software, if the employee leaves the district or if the district discontinues the District Office Enterprise contract.

    • Customers pay $9.95 per license and download of each product available.
    • Physical back-up media is available for an additional $13.99 (includes shipping/not available for Language Packs). Payment is via personal credit card at the Home Purchase website.
    • Although you cannot purchase more than one license, the single license allows for 2 installations on (1) desktop and (1) "portable device" (ie. laptop).
    • The Home Use Program license extends only to the employee, and may not be given away or sold. Employees may not make additional copies of the software.

  • Software for School Staff at Reduced Prices.

    If your purchase software from Tech Head you will own it forever.

    Tech Head is a partner website to OETC (Oregon Education Technology Consortium).  They offer various software packages to school staff at reduced prices.  To order from Tech Head, you will need to provide proof that you are a district employee.

    1. Scan your District ID badge to a .jpg file and save it.  This will be uploaded to Tech Head during the purchase process to prove that you are a district employee.
    2. Go to http://www.techhead.org
    3. Choose K-12 from the drop down menu.  Then choose Idaho and then Idaho Falls School District 91.
    4. You will see a screen of a few of the software packages that are available to purchase.  To see more, choose the software developer at the left.  (Microsoft)
    5. Find the software you want.  Click Add to Cart for the program you want.
    6. Click Checkout Now in the upper right corner.
    7. Click Order.  Enter your name and your district ID number, click the box to Agree to the agree, then click Verification Step 2.
    8. You will get a notice that they cannot find you in their database, so you will have to upload your .jpg file of your district badge.  Click Browse and navigate to your .jpg file.  Click Upload, then wait for the green message saying that it was successfully uploaded.
    9. Click Review License Terms and Agree.
    10. Enter shipping information - your personal address - and click Finalize Order.
    11. Enter billing information and credit card.  Click Complete Order.
    12. Print your confirmation.  You will also get an e-mail confirming your order.

  • District Technology Equipment Check Out Form

    Board Policy 310.2 Use of district-owned equipment is specifically reserved for work on school projects. As such, it is permissible for teachers and others, with proper prior administrative approval, to use computers and other associated equipment off-campus while employed by the district including summer breaks, etc., in order to facilitate the employee’s performance of school related work and/or further the employee’s expertise in the use of such equipment. It is the sole responsibility of the employee using District equipment off-campus to reimburse the District for damage or loss, normal wear and tear excluded, unless the employee is on officially approved school business.   • Use of Staff Owned Technology Equipment

    As stated in the D91 Technology Acceptable Use Agreement, “By signing the D91 TUA, I committed to: Not use personally owned technology unless inspected and approved according to D91 policies.” To obtain authorization for the use of personally owned computers on D91 network you must read and sign this form: Authorization of Staff Owned Equipment
